started playing the piano at the age of 6. Having taken a solid classical training at the Music Academy of Neerpelt (Flanders), he graduated summa cum laude. At the age of 15 he sat in with R&B-giants such as Bob Hall, Dave Peabody and the Deluxe Blues Band at the Belgian Folk & Blues festival, playing blues, boogie-woogie and gospel piano. At the European Youth Music Festival (1984) the Dutch Television (NOS) recorded Dirk's performance of the jazz-musical "On the town" scored by Leonard Bernstein.

Andy has had a successful career in British television and theatre for a little over 20 years,Aged just 30 years old, he was personally chosen by Barry Manilow to score his musical Copacabana in London's West End. There followed more west end musicals and more successes including 2 long running tv series."
My Kind Of Music" with Micheal Barrymore involved Andy in every aspect of music from composing to arranging and playing on the sessions.
Andy has also composed for the BBC Concert Orchestra and appeared with them on Radio 2 with his "Nocturne For Jenia".

Internationally renowned, Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson has entertained the world with his mastery and prowess over the piano for over 40 years. Born in a limestone house on Montreal's Delisle Street on August 15, 1925, he was the fourth of five children to his parents, Daniel and Kathleen. All of the Peterson children (Fred, Daisy, Charles, Oscar and May) were introduced to music in a good way before any of them can remember.

Michel Camilo, piano and composer

was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 1954. Fascinated with music since childhood, he composed his first song at the age of five, then studied for 13 years at the National Conservatory. At 16, he became a member of the National Symphony Orchestra.

startte zijn muzikale opleiding in München. Verhuisde in 1988 Nederland en studeerde daar met als docenten: Rob Madna, Karel Boehlee en Rob van Bavel. In 2003 vertrok hij naar New York om aan de Manhattan School of Music te studeren. Onder zijn docenten waren: Kenny Barron, Dave Liebmann, John Taylor and Kenny Werner. Daarnaast studeerde hij film-compositie bij Edward Green. Franz trad inmiddels op met Roy Hargrove, Dick Oatts, Minu Cinelu, Jasper Blom en Benjamin Herman. Hij toerde door Europa en de USA en het Midden Oosten. De cd "Fragments of Before", waaraan hij deelnam in het Yaniv Nachum Quartet werd in Amerika als "Best modern Jazz Album of the Year 2004" uitverkozen door Alll About Jazz

In 2006 won Franz met zijn trio de eerste prijs in the Dutch Jazz Competition en de Sena Best Group Prijs. In 2007 is het Franz von Chossy Trio geselecteerd voor de European Jazz Competition.

Wolfgang Maiwald, piano

is in 1965 in Duitsland geboren en begint op zijn viertiende als autodidact met piano spelen. Hij schrijft eigen stukken en speelt in lokale bands. 1984 studeert hij schoolmuziek aan de Universiteit Oldenburg. In 1987 richt hij samen met twee medemuzikanten onder de naam InMusic een opnamestudio op waar hij in 1988 met de funk band RED zijn eerste maxi single opneemt. 1989 wint hij de prijs voor beste solist tijdens het jazz concours “Jugend Jazzt Niedersachsen”.

Al vlug krijgt hij de vraag om mee te spelen in verschillende groepen, als daar zijn het Frank Vaganée Quartet, het Erwin Vann Quartet, Peter Hertmans, Kurt Van Herck, Jeroen Van Herzeele, Richard Rousselet… Hij speelt en toert met Bert Joris, Jacques Pelzer, Steve Houben, Pierre Lognay, John Ruocco, Ali Ryerson, Phil Abraham, en het Stéphane Mercier Sextet.
