hard-swinging style first gained him broad recognition during the 1990's
while working with the bands of jazz legends Art Blakey, Jackie McLean,
Chick Corea's acclaimed sextet Origin and the renowned cooperative sextet,
One For All.

Conn-Selmer Artist Bob McChesney was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and began studying the trombone at the age of nine. McChesney holds a bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia.

Master Of The Plunger. On February 1, 1904, Joe Nanton, a very unique trombonist was born. His professional career as a trombonist began in Washington with pianist Cliff Jackson. From 1923 to 1924 he worked with Frazier's Harmony Five. A year later he performed with banjoist Elmer Snowden.

Principal Trombonist for the Utah Symphony, began his trombone studies at the age of eight, though that was not his original intent. Upon arriving for the first day of his third grade music program, he was disappointed to learn that his elementary school was out of trumpets, the instrument he became enamored with after hearing Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.
