Vivienne Aerts, vocal, piano

groeide op in Zoetermeer. Na 10 jaar pianoles en wat zang ervaring kreeg zij de kans om naast haar studie psychologie aan de universiteit leiden lessen te volgen in Jazz zang aan het Koninklijk conservatorium van Den Haag. Hier krijgt ze al drie jaar les van Rachel Gould en Sanna van Vliet. Naast haar reguliere optredens als vocalist in verschillende formaties is zij ook pianist (in bijvoorbeeld bigbands), pianodocent, zangdocent en singer songwriter. Haar zelfgeschreven nummers voert ze uit met een negenkoppige jazz formatie bestaande uit jazz kwintet en strijkers sectie.

Born in 1976 in The Hague, The Netherlands, Caroline de Rooij started her musical route by learning to play the piano when she was 7 years old and additionally attended both violin and singing classes. She obtained her Degree of Music at the Conservatory of The Hague in 2002, whereas in 2000, her debut-CD “River” - produced by Hein van de Geyn - was published. She was finalist at the “Ann Burton Award”, as well as at the “Nederlands Jazzvocalisten concours” in 2001.
While Caroline de Rooij is currently giving jazz singing classes at the Conservatory of Klagenfurt, Austria, she performs throughout Europe.

Beatrice van der Poel , vocalist


Nederlandse popmuzikanten die van het zingen in het Engels op hun moers taal overstappen, daar hebben we er meer van gezien de laatste jaren. Sinds kort heeft ook Beatrice van der Poel zich bij dit peloton van taalverspringers gevoegd, en meteen ook maar in de kopgroep. Eindelijk heeft zij dan haar stem gevonden.
Dat heeft wel een tijdje geduurd. Daar heeft ze eerst een aantal bands voor moeten verslijten, onder anderen Beeswamp en Fish Hospital plus haar alter ego Miss Bee. Langzaam Los heet daarom heel toepasselijk haar solo debuut, dat geproduceerd is door haar wapenbroeder Wouter Planteijdt die zijn medebandleden van Sjako! heeft ingezet als begeleidingsband.

Colette Wickenhagen, vocalist

met een grote liefde voor "the Blues". Geboren in 1959 in een gezin waar muziek en vooral jazzmuziek een belangrijke rol speelde. Studeerde vanaf 1972 achtereenvolgens aan het Dans Conservatorium in Den Haag, de Arts Educational School in London en de Show/Musical opleiding van de Nel Roos & Kleinkunst Academie in Amsterdam.

Geboren in Paramaribo in een zeer muzikaal gezin.

Angelique Beauvence, vocalist

At the age of 5 Angelique discovered her desire as a singer / dancer. After following classical ballet lessons she renounced her dancing aspirations.
She went through secondary levels and business-school and chose to start her own direction in life. She pursues extensive model training and followed several courses in classical singing and a professional and private tutorial at the University for Performing Arts in The Hague and Zwolle. Combined to her daily studies she did an extensive course ‘Method Acting’ tutored by Mr. Clif Sutton in Amsterdam.

Anne Chris, vocalist

werd geboren in Alkmaar. Haar eerste zanglessen kreeg ze toen ze veeertien jaar was; een jaar later begon ze al aan de vooropleiding van het Alkmaars Conservatorium. Na haar eindexamen gymnasium werd ze aangenomen aan het Hilversums Conservatorium. Daar volgde ze lessen bij inspirerende zangdocenten als Lydia van Dam en Sylvi Lane.

Fay Claassen was born in 1969 in Nijmegen The Netherlands. Before she devoted herself to singing, she followed courses at the academy of ballet. Subsequently she studied at the academy of acting after which she finally opted for singing. She completed her study at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague in Holland with remarkable distinctions for jazz-timing and vocal improvisation.

Here you can find lots of information about the Jazzsinger Rita Reys. She started her carrier 60 years ago. She played with great Jazzartists like Art Blakey & The Jazzmessengers, Chico Hammilton, Jimmy Smith, Zoot Zims, Dizzy Gillespie, Burt Bacharach etc. In 1960 she became "Europe's first lady of jazz" at the jazzfestival of Juan Les Pins (France).Together with her husband Pim Jacobs she toured The Netherlands, and the rest of the world, making fabulous music. Simone Roerade, vocalist

Dat Simone Roerade, geboren in Den Haag op 5 juni 1969, muzikant zou worden mag nauwelijks een verassing heten. Hoe kon het ook anders, met een opa als violist en een vader en een oom die hoorn en hobo speelden bij het Residentieorkest? Op 9-jarige leeftijd kreeg Simone van haar oom haar eerste lessen op hobo en toen zij 11 was speelde ze al in een jeugdorkest. Op de middelbare school schreef zij een lied voor haar lievelingsleraar en realiseerde
zij zich waar haar ware talent lag: in het zingen en componeren.
